Doing a search for a potential relevant destination to acquire a link for a client, I noticed a domain using subdomains to increase search saturation. The pages were dynamically pulling in different content and had varying URLs, titles and meta data.

If you recall, several months ago, Google made a change appropriately titled the “May Day Update”, which may produce multiple listings from one domain. Is this case an example of the algorithm update or a loophole caused by the use of subdomains?

I know the answer to this but I want your opinion, is this technique something we should incorporate into our ORM and SEO strategies, or is it Blackhat SEO that will eventually be sucked into the sandbox? Here’s a screenshot below:
